8VAC20-790 Subsidy Program Vendor Requirements for Family Day Homes
Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection was conducted on July 13, 2022 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 5 (8 points) children present with 1 caregiver supervising. The children were observed watching a video and playing with floor toys. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection, the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Areas of non-compliance were cited on the violation notice. Based on a discussion with the provider and a review of the evacuation logs, the provider has failed to practice the lockdown drill at least once during 2020-2022.
