Comments:
The department received a complaint regarding allegations in the areas of supervision on April 13, 2022. The licensing inspector was onsite May 3, 2022, from approximately 11:20am until 12:20pm.
The evidence gathered during the investigation supported the allegation of non-compliance with standards or law, and violations were issued. Any other violations not related to the complaint but identified during the course of the investigation can also be found on the violation notice.
Based on interviews, the provider did not ensure her physical and mental condition were such that she was able to care for children, one of the criteria on the health and safety check list.
1. On April 13, 2022 a parent dropped Child #1 off to the provider. The parent stated Provider #1 was sleeping on the couch with Child #2 in care. 2. Provider #1 stated that she was not feeling well but ?instead of taking off, I tried to push through it?. 3. Provider #1 stated she would guess she was asleep for approximately 10-15 minutes.
Plan of Correction:
I will make sure that I am not feeling that well in the future, I will contact the parents and close for the day.
