A complaint investigation was held 11/14/2023 concerning a complaint received in this office 11/13/23 concerning feeding of children.
Staff was interviewed and records reviewed; the complaint was determined to be valid and information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violation were documented on the violation notice
Based on interviews, an infant was not fed in accordance with parental instructions. Evidence: 1. Parent #1 reported that she was told on 11/09/23 that her child had not been given her 3:00pm bottle; the infant was currently drinking the bottle at 5:00pm. 2. Staff #1 verified that the bottle had been given late.
Plan of Correction:
The Director will follow up with each infant teacher by 11/17/23 and make sure they have been trained on and reviewed the following: - Infant Feeding Plan for each infant enrolled documenting what parent preference is for feeding and/or how frequent infants are to be fed - Feeding in the First Year Training Guide with information on following the infant?s parent-written feeding plans, Understanding Family Expectations, and Meal Patterns for infants
