Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted with the voluntarily registered provider on 7/9/24 from 8:00am to 9:00am. There were no daycare children in care as the provider reported that she has not had children enrolled since 2021. The provider record and one household member record were reviewed. The Licensing Inspector and the Provider discussed the Health & Safety checklist and the program?s policies and procedures. Noncompliance with the checklist was observed and was discussed with the Provider. Violations can be reviewed on the Violation Notice. Please complete the "Plan of Correction" and "Date to be Corrected" areas on the Violation Notice for each violation cited and return to me by close of business on 7/17/24. Plans of correction should include steps to correct the noncompliance with the standard, and measures to prevent the noncompliance from occurring again.
Based on review of household member records, the provider did not obtain the results of a search of the central registry for a household member within 30 days of turning 14-years-old. Evidence: Household Member A turned 14-years-old on 4/15/24 and there were no central registry results on record for Household Member A.

Description:
Based on review of documentation and interview, the provider did not meet all of the criteria on the health and safety checklist at the time of the renewal. Evidence: 1. The provider reported that there was no first aid kit in the home as required. 2. There were no protective barriers including, but not limited to, safety gates at stairways in the home. 3. Electrical outlets were not child-proof in all areas of the home.
