Comments:
An unannounced inspection was initiated and completed on 06/03/2024 from 11:55am until 1:50pm. There were 25 children and 7 staff present. Five children?s records and four staff records were reviewed. Children were observed watching a video, washing hands, eating lunch, playing, and during rest time.
The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violation (s) were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Based on observation and measurement, the center did not have the required resilient surfacing under equipment with moving parts or climbing apparatus. Evidence: The yellow bus, the green van, blue merry go round, yellow slide and trike ride had between 2-4 inches of resilient surfacing in the fall zone, the required depth is 6 inches.
Plan of Correction:
Mulch will be ordered and spread to the required depth.
