8VAC20-790 Subsidy Program Vendor Requirements for Family Day Homes
Comments:
A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was conducted on 11/28/2023 There were 8 children present with 2 caregivers supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.
Based on a review of four caregiver records and interview, the vendor did not ensure that two caregivers annually completed the department's health and safety update course.
Evidence: 1. The records of caregiver #1 and caregiver #4 did not contain documentation of the 2022 and 2023 annual health and safety update course. 2. The vendor acknowledged that the courses had not been completed.
