Comments:
A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was completed on 7/26/2023. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Information gathered during the inspection determined violations with applicable standards or law. Violations are identified on the violation notice.
Based on a review of records and interview, the licensee was unable to demonstrate that all staff who work directly with children shall, annually attend the department's health and safety update course. Evidence: Five staff records were reviewed. The record for staff #3 contained the last documentation of health and safety update course which was dated 6/2/2022 - more than 12 months ago. Staff stated that this training had not been completed.
Plan of Correction:
Staff #3 has begun the annual health and safety update training and will have it completed and a copy available in her record by 8/15/2023.
