1. Discussed classroom ratios when a child has been enrolled that requires 1:1 staff:child supervision. 2. Reviewed training requirements when job responsibilities include caring for children with special needs. This is additional training specific to the child's developmental needs.
Comments:
Conducted an unannounced complaint investigation at 9:25am into the care of children. Interviews conducted, observations made and records reviewed. There was insufficient evidence to support the allegations made however, there was one are area of non-compliance not reported but found, and another non-compliance not related to the investigation found. Description:
Based on interviews conducted and records reviewed, the center failed to ensure that staff received sufficient training on their job responsibilities to meet the needs of a child with special needs. Evidence: There was no documentation of training specific to Child #4's developmental needs and staff reported that they did not receive training that would have helped them to meet the needs of the child.
