Comments:
An unannounced focused monitoring inspection was conducted on 12/12/2022. The inspector was on site at the home from approximately 01:50pm to 2:10pm. There were 7 children in attendance and a total of 1 caregiver present. An interview was held with the caregiver throughout the inspection. One caregiver record was reviewed during this inspection. There were violations found during today?s inspection. See the violation notice for more details.
Based on record review, the provider did not ensure caregiver records contained documentation of satisfactory results of the Virginia Child Protective Services Central Registry Check. Evidence: The record of caregiver #1 did not have documentation of satisfactory results of the Virginia Child Protective Services Central Registry Check.

Description:
Based on observation and an interview, the provider did not ensure that the total number of children receiving care at any one time does not exceed four, which is the maximum capacity allowed by law (? 22.1- 289.015 of the Code of Virginia) for family day homes that may apply for voluntary registration. Evidence: 1. Seven nonresident children were present in the family day home during the December 12, 2022 inspection. 2. Caregiver #1 stated that there were seven nonresident children in the home.
