Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A monitoring inspection was initiated on 05/14 and concluded on 05/18/2021. The director was contacted by phone to initiate the inspection. There were children 18 present and 3 staff present. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 1 new staff record submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violation were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. The inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child care programs.
Based on documentation, the center id not complete all the required monthly evacuation drills. Evidence: 1. The center did not complete a March evacuation drill.
Plan of Correction:
The director will review with staff the system for making sure monthly drills are completed.
