Comments:
A code compliance inspection was conducted on May 1, 2023. There were thirty children present, ranging in ages from infants to five years, with five staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, and medication. A total of five children?s records and five staff records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable code sections and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Based on observation, facility did not ensure there is appropriate supervision of all children in care.
Evidence: At approximately 12:50, child #1 was observed in a crib in an area outside the toddler room and there were no staff present. Staff stated the child had a temperature and was waiting to be picked up.
Plan of Correction:
Staff were immediately reminded that staff are to stay in the room or area with children at all times.

Description:
Based on observation, facility did not ensure all areas of the premises accessible to children are free of obvious injury hazards.
Evidence: A night light and tablet were stored on a shelf on the wall by a crib. The cords to these items were within reach of an infant observed napping in the crib.
Plan of Correction:
The items will be removed from that shelf and plugged into outlets that are not within reach of children.
