Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
An initial inspection was initiated on March 12, 2021 and concluded on March 12, 2021. The provider was contacted by Google Dup to initiate the inspection. There were zero children present and one staff. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed zero children?s records and one staff record submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and a violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Based on a review of the first aid kit and interview, the center did not ensure the first aid kit contained all the required items.
Evidence: 1. The first aid kit did not contain a thermometer. 2. The provider was unable to locate the thermometer at the time of inspection.
Plan of Correction:
Center has updated the first aid kit with thermometers. Center will have multiple thermometers.
