This initial inspection was conducted virtually by licensing staff, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
An announced initial inspection was conducted on February 23, 2021. The providers home and all areas for child care were toured virtually. Some items reviewed during the inspection included: required posted information, parent arrival/departure procedures, emergency maps and procedures, first -aid kit, emergency supplies, emergency plan, menu, and two caregiver records. The outside play area was viewed and the provider stated they outside play structure will not be used until the area can be raked and re-mulched. A recommendation will be made for an initial six-month conditional Family Day Home license with a capacity of 12 children from birth through 12 years 11 months of age. There were no violations noted during the inspection.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care Programs.
