An investigation was initiated from 12:00 pm - 1:45 pm to investigate a complaint regarding handwashing. Interviews were conducted and documentation was reviewed. The complaint regarding handwashing is determined to be valid.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on interviews it was determined that not all procedures for handwashing were followed. Evidence: On 11/15/2022 a parent observed through video surveillance staff who was diapering three children. During the series of diapering staff are observed not washing their hands, not washing the children's hands, and handling sippy cups. Staff is observed utilizing the same set of gloves for three children. The video surveillance regarding this incident was later corroborated by center administration.
Plan of Correction:
Staff was retrained on proper diapering and handwashing procedures.
