Technical Assistance:
1. Discussed ongoing health and safety practices as it relates to the health pandemic.
2. Inspector suggested that lunch bags and water bottles the children bring from home be labeled with their names to help ensure the items are only consumed by the intended child. While the enrollment is currently low and staff are monitoring this visually, it is a helpful practice, especially when more children are attending.

Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted at 10:30am. There were 7 children with the program director, who is currently filling a lead teacher role. A 2nd staff person was also present in the building and available to step into the classroom, as needed. Ratios were in compliance at the time of the inspection. Children were observed eating the morning snack, and playing with toys during the inspection. The facility was found to be clean, and classrooms were sufficiently supplied with toys and equipment for the children. The outdoor play area is currently not in-use and reported to be under renovation. No transportation is provided. Each child brings their own snacks and lunch from home daily.
Information gathered during the inspection determined there was an area of non-compliance with applicable standards or laws reviewed. Questions about this inspection may be directed to pamela.sneed@doe.virginia.gov

Note: Current regulation and Code numbers are handwritten on the original inspection report issued to the Provider.
