A subsidy health and safety inspection was initiated and concluded on May 31, 2022. The licensing inspector was onsite from approximately 10:00am until 11:50am. The provider assisted with the licensing inspector during the inspection. There were six children present and three caregivers. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy regulations that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with subsidy regulations, and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
Based on review of three caregivers' records and interview, the vendor did not ensure all caregivers had current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the ages of children in care.
Evidence: 1. The record for Caregiver #3 (hire date 10/18/2021) did not contain documentation for current CPR certification. 2. Caregiver #1 stated during the inspection that Caregiver #3 does not have current CPR certification.
Plan of Correction:
I will reach out to ChildSavers and find out when the next training is being offered and ensure Caregiver #3 attends the training.
