Comments:
A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was completed 3/2/2023. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

Please complete the ?plan of correction? and date to be corrected? for each violation cited on the violation notice and return it to me within five (5) business days from today. You will need to specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Your plan of correction should contain: 1) steps to correct the noncompliance with the standard(s), 2) measures to prevent the noncompliance from occurring gain; and 3) person or person(s) responsible for implementation.
Based on record reviews the vendor failed to ensure that all staff who work directly with children shall have within 90 days of the date of employment current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the ages of children in care. Evidence: Staff # 6 (hire date 9/7/22) and staff #7 (hire date 11/28/22) do not have current certification in CPR. Both staff have been employed more than 90 days.

Description:
Based on record reviews the vendor failed to ensure that all staff who work directly with children shall have Current certification in first aid appropriate to the ages of children in care. However, staff who is a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse with a current license from the Board of Nursing shall not be required to obtain first aid certification. During the 90-day period, there must always be at least one staff with current CPR and first aid training present during operating hours of the center. Evidence: Staff # 6 (hire date 9/7/22) and staff #7 (hire date 11/28/22) do not have current certification in first aid. Both staff have been employed more than 90 days.
