8VAC20-790 Subsidy Program Vendor Requirements for Family Day Homes
Comments:
A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was conducted on March 20, 2024 from approximately 2:40 pm to 4:40 pm. There were nine children present with one caregiver supervising at the onset of inspection. Additional caregivers arrived during inspection. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violation was found and is noted on the violation notice.
Based on review, vendor did not ensure 1 of 3 caregivers annually complete the department's health and safety update course.
Evidence: The record for caregiver #1 did not have documentation of completing the department's health and safety update course in 2023. The most recent health and safety update course was completed June 2022.
