8VAC20-790 Subsidy Program Vendor Requirements for Family Day Homes
Comments:
A subsidy inspection was conducted on 04/04/2022. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Based on a record review and interview the vendor did not have all the required information in the daycare's written emergency plan. Evidence: The emergency plan did not include the following procedures: The vendor reported she was still working on them. 1. Procedure to reunite children with a parent or authorized person to pick up the child in the event of an evacuation and/or shelter-in-place. 2. Procedures in the event of a lock down due to an intruder. 3. Procedure addressing how the daycare will maintain the continuity of operations in order to ensure the essential functions of the daycare.
Plan of Correction:
Vendor is working on adding these procedures to the existing emergency plans.
