Comments:
A renewal inspection was conducted from 12:40 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. There were 27 children in care ages infant to 5 years old with 6 staff supervising. The cook was also present. Children were observed washing hands, having a bathroom break, and getting ready for a nap. Infants were observed being fed, during a diaper change, and playing. Three child records were reviewed and three The inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Based on observation, hazardous substances such as cleaning materials were not kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children. Evidence: 1. There were two bottles of Clean Smart on a shelf cabinet that was not locked. It was out of the reach of children.
Plan of Correction:
The site director corrected during the inspection and also reminded staff that all hazardous substances needed to be locked at all times.
