Comments:
A monitoring inspection was conducted on 4/11/2023. There were 2 children present with the provider supervising supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 2 child records and 2 caregiver/household records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable requirements or law and a violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the provider. The violation was reviewed with the provider during the exit interview.
Based upon observation, the provider has not ensured that medications and toxic household products are in areas inaccessible and away from food products. Evidence: Three were five containers of medicine/vitamins on an open kitchen counter.
Plan of Correction:
The provider responded with the following: The medication was moved to an upper cabinet during the inspection. In the future, all medication with be kept in areas inaccessible to the children and away from food products.
