Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was completed on Friday, January 20, 2023. There were 2 children in care, ages infancy to toddler present with 1 caregivers. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, personnel, physical health of caregivers and household members, caregiver training, physical equipment and environment, care of children, preventing the spread of disease, emergencies and nutrition. A total of 1 child record and 1 caregiver, and 2 household members records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on observation and interview, the licensee did not ensure to practice monthly the emergency evacuation procedures.
Evidence: During the inspection on January 20, 2023, a review of the emergency drills documentation revealed the last monthly fire drill was dated 11/30/22. Interview with licensee verified documentation available for review and the drill for 12/2022 was not completed.
Plan of Correction:
The provider will be sure to complete the monthly drills as required and record drills.
