Comments:
Thank you for your assistance during this unannounced renewal inspection. This on-site visit was conducted on July 19, 2022 from 10:20 a.m. througn12:00 p.m. There were five child in the care of the provider and assistant with points totaling17. The record for the provider and two assistants were reviewed and updated. Five children records were reviewed and update. No medication is being administered at the present.

Areas observed were: circle time, free choice, infant feeding, hand washing procedures and transition. The children appeared to be well aware of their daily routine and schedule. Areas of non-compliance may be found on the violation page.

Standard #: 8VAC20-790-250-B
Description: Based on record review, one assistant had not completed Virginia Preservice for Child Care Staff.

Evidence:

1. Two assistant records were reviewed and updated.
2. Assistant #1 did not have documentation of completing Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff within 90 days of employment. Date of hire was document ted as 3/21/2022.
3. The provider confirmed Assistant #1 had not completed Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff.

Plan of Correction: Assistant will complete preservice training as soon as possible. Documentation will be send to the licensing inspector.
