Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 10:00am-10:45m. There were 6 children directly supervised by 2 caregivers The home, staff records, children?s records, household member?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed in circle time, singing, identifying body parts and sign language. A friend that was sad was also observed being comforted. Diapering and handwashing procedures were also observed/reviewed. There was an ample supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Based on observation the diapering surface was not considered nonabsorbent as required.
Evidence- The diaper changing pad had a tear in the plastic covering.
Plan of Correction:
I will buy a new one.
