Technical Assistance:
1. Inspector sent instructions for online renewal process.
2. Reviewed annual training hour requirements.

Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted at 11:40am. Observed 1 child + 1 child that lives in the home totaling 2 points with 1 caregiver. Ratios and supervision were in compliance. The child was playing with toys during the inspection. Lunch to be served reported to include "round" beans, rice, green beans, banana and milk. The daycare areas of the home were found to be sufficiently supplied with toys and equipment for the children. Areas of non-compliance with standards and laws reviewed were found. Violations:
Standard #: 8VAC20-800-780-B
Description: Based on records reviewed, the licensee failed to ensure that 1 of 1 children's records did not include annual review of emergency information by parents. Evidence: Child #1-There was no documentation to indicate that parents have reviewed the emergency information since the child was enrolled in April 2022.

Plan of Correction: Corrected. Parents signed form.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-920
Description: Based on observations made, the licensee failed to ensure that the menu for the current week was not dated. Evidence: A generic food program menu was posted, but with no corresponding dates to determine what food items were served on a given date, including today.

Plan of Correction: The provider said she will make sure the menu is dated and substituted food noted.
