Comments:
An unannounced Complaint investigation was initiated on 03/25/2022. The complaint involved staff quality and administration Staff interviews were conducted, staff records and staff written statements were reviewed and observation of the Soala Classroom was made. Follow up staff interviews were completed on 03/28/2022.
The preponderance of evidence supports a valid finding. One violation found pertaining to programs.

Description: Based on staff interviews and staff written statements, staff failed to interact with each other to provide needed help, comfort and support.
Evidence:
1. On 03/22/2022 at approximately 11am, Staff #1 and #2 stated argued in front of 5 children and 2 other staff in the Soala Classroom.
2. Staff #1 entered the Soala classroom to take a picture of Child #1's first day of attendance.
3. During an interview, Staff #2 stated that "I started to become stressed because we were having a fun lesson and now it became disrupted. I was stressed in front of the children." Staff #2 stated that they asked Staff #1 "Are you serious, are your really doing this right now?"
4. Staff #1 stated that they "asked [Staff #2] to come outside twice by using a firm tone".
5. Staff #2 refused to leave the classroom with Staff #1.
6. Staff #1 stated that "I then touched her hand and her palm and [Staff #2] yanked [their] arm away".
7. Staff #2 stated they responded in a firm tone by stating "Do not touch me".

Plan of Correction: Staff have additional training on communication, supervision, and interpersonal interactions. This will allow each employee to recognize, not only his or her role, but the roles of the people around them. That will help everyone understand the big picture and how they fit into the larger puzzle for the benefit of the children and school.
