Technical Assistance:
The following items that were recommended to be fixed and discussed to be removed with the applicant : The window in the two year old classroom is broken and needs to be replaced but is not a safety issue when observed during inspection.
The outdoor area a large area . The applicant will have areas closed that are possible hazards. The outdoor play ground the infant/toddler swing is recommended to be removed becaue the fall zone does not meet the standards. The metal gazebo is rusted and peeling paint possible hazard in the future.
The center will be sending information about the resilent surfacing tiles for playground composite for consultation to determine if it will meet the standards. The playground composite is closed for use until further consultation with licensing inspector.
Comments:
An announced initial inspection was conducted on April 19, 2022, from approximately 9:30 AM to 11:20 AM. Space and equipment observed were appropriate for children ages 6 weeks- 12 years. The inspection will be reviewed by administrator for license issuance.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Based on staff interview and observation, the applicant did not have a waorking battery operated radio.
Evidence: The applicant confirmed the working battery operated radio was ordered and on back order. There was no working battery operate at the center during the inspection.
