Technical Assistance:
Discussed with center about resilent surfacing by the slide on the toddler playground still has mixed resilent surfacing recommended to move more wood mulch on the side of the slide in the fall zone.
Comments:
An unannounced monitoring was conducted on October 21, 2022 from approximately 2:10 pm- 3:35pm. There were 33 children present upon arrival with 7 staff members. Additional administrative staff were present. Children were observed participating in freely playing, nap time and waking up from nap time , observe transitoning from classrooms and children pick up procedures. Licensing Inspector reviewed indoor areas, supervision, activities, equipment, medication procedures, emergency evacuation and shelter-in-place drill documentation, emergency procedures and required posting.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Based on record review and staff interview, the licensee did not ensure child day program have central registry findings within 30 days of employment.
Evidence: Staff #1 and Staff #2 (employment date 09/06/2022) did not have central registry findings within 30days of employment. Center director did not have documentation of follow up on central registry .
