An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 10:40 am to 11:25 am. There were 5 children (13 points) in care of the provider. The children were observed arriving to the home and playing with home living toys. 4 children's records, 1 provider's record, 2 household member's records, emergency drill record and attendance record were reviewed. There were no children with medications or diagnosed food allergies on site. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. For any questions regarding this inspection, please contact me at mahrukh.aziz@doe.virginia.gov or 571-835-4718.
REPEAT VIOLATION Based on records review, information in children's records was not complete. Evidence: 1. Child # 1, Child # 2 and Child # 3's records were missing the medication policy form. 2. Information in Child # 2's record was not annually updated.
Plan of Correction:
The medication policy forms will be obtained for all children and the records will also be checked for annual updates.
