Comments:
A mandated renewal inspection was conducted on January 11, 2023 from 9:54 A.M.-11:45 A.M. There were four children present for a total of 12 points, ranging in ages from 14 months to 2 years of age, with one caregiver supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of four child records and one caregiver record were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on review of the first aid kit, the provider failed to ensure that all required items were in the first aid kit.
Evidence: 1. The first aid kit did not contain a pair of tweezers and a triangular bandage. 2. The provider verified that the items could not be located and were not in the first aid kit.

The missing supplies were added to the first aid kit.

Based on review of children records, the provider failed to ensure all required information was in a child's record.
Evidence: 1. Child #1 and Child #2's record did not contain an emergency contact address for one of emergency contact. 2. The provider verified that there was not an emergency contact address listed for one of the emergency contacts.

Parents were contacted and the requested information was added to the children's files.

Description:
Based on observation and temperature reading, the provider failed to ensure that the hot water temperature does not exceed 120 degrees.
Evidence: The water temperature was measured at 124 degrees.
Plan of Correction:
The hot water tank will be adjusted and continued to be monitored to ensure the temperature does not exceed 120 degrees.
