Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today between 12:25pm-1:25pm. There were 11 children present with the Provider and 4 assistants for a total of 34 points within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed taking a nap and being held. Positive interactions were observed during this inspection. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and staff records, evacuation drill log, menu, attendance and emergency procedures were observed during this inspection. Violations were found during today?s inspection and can be viewed on the Violation Notice. Thank you for your cooperation. Based on a review of records and Provider interview, the emergency evacuation procedures were not practiced monthly with all caregivers and children in care.
Evidence: 1. There was no documentation of emergency evacuation procedures being practiced during the month of November and December 2023. 2. The Provider stated that emergency evacuation procedures were not practiced during the months of November and December 2023.
Plan of Correction:
We will conduct evacuation drills monthly moving forward.
