A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was initiated on October 16, 2023 and concluded on November 20, 2023. There were 41 children present with four staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Based on record review, staff did not complete the annual Virginia Health and Safety Update Training.
Evidence: 1. The record for staff #1 had an updated Virginia Health and Safety Update Training dated 08/17/23, Staff #1 did not have the update for 2022. The last annual training in the record was dated 04/02/21. 2. The record for staff #2 had an updated Virginia Health and Safety Update Training dated 10/18/23. The annual update should have been completed prior to 05/12/22.
