Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. There were no children in care. 1 child and 1 caregiver records were reviewed. See Violation Notice for non-compliances cited today. First aid supplies, emergency supplies, first aid/CPR certifications and the emergency preparedness plan were all reviewed and in compliance today.

Based on a review of records, one child record did not contain all required information. Evidence: Child 1's record did not contain written authorization for emergency medical care.

Description:
Based on observation, the family day home was not maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition. Evidence: The smoke detector in the daycare area is "chirping" and needed the batteries replaced.

I will have the batteries replaced.
