An investigation was conducted in conjunction with a monitoring inspection from 1:00 pm - 2:45 pm to investigate a complaint received by the department concerning the classroom area (square footage) and diapering. Interviews were conducted and documentation was reviewed. The portion of the complaint regarding areas is not valid. The portion of the complaint regarding diapering is valid.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on observation of a combined classroom caring for infants and toddlers it was determined that not all procedures for diapering were followed. Evidence: On 01/25/2024 at approximately 1:10 pm the LI (Licensing Inspector) observed a classroom of combined infants and toddlers. The room was combined due to a malfunction with the facilities water and therefore these classrooms were displaced and combined in a larger room known as "The Brooke." The room was divided with infants in one half of the room and toddlers on the other half of the room. The children were being diapered on a changing pad on the floor and not a changing table as required for children two years and younger.
