The following was discussed with the owner: When keeping records electronically, please be prepared to have an alternate way to access required information in the vent of an emergency and electronic records can not be accessed.
Comments:
A monitoring inspection was conducted on 01/20/2023. There were 9 children present and 4 staff. A tour of the facility was conducted, in addition to a record review and interviews with staff. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Based on observation the center did not have a copy of the findings of the last inspection posted in a conspicuous place on the licensed premises. Evidence: The center did not have an inspection posted on the licensed premises.
Plan of Correction:
Moving forward all inspections will be posted in the front of the center next to the license.

Description:
Based on a record review the center did not ensure all staff had the required background checks. Evidence: Staff #1, hired 11/17/2022, did not have documentation of a central registry background check.
Plan of Correction:
The background has been sent, however the owner did not keep a copy of the sent paperwork. The check that was sent was not cashed. The owner will call the Office of Background Check Investigation today to follow-up on the status of the check.

Description:
Based on observation the center did not ensure all electrical outlets had protective covers. Evidence: There was an electrical outlet with no protective cover in the area directly outside of the main Wonder Kids room, where there was a shoe cubby.
Plan of Correction:
This was an oversight. The outlet was covered with a protective cover. Owner will remind staff to check all electrical outlets.
