An announced initial inspection was conducted today from 10:30 am to 12:40 pm. The physical plant, staff qualifications, background checks, policies and procedures and the emergency preparedness plan were reviewed. Classrooms were measured to determine the center's capacity. The classrooms are equipped with supplies, equipment, and age appropriate activities for children. 8 infant cribs were inspected, and crib compliance documentation was reviewed. The outdoor playground equipment and surface was inspected. Many areas related to the supervision and care of children could not be inspected due to no children in care at this time. Areas of non-compliance are listed in the violation notice. For any questions regarding this inspection, please contact me at 571-835-4718 or mahrukh.aziz@doe.virginia.gov.
