Comments:
An announced initial inspection was conducted Thursday, November 22, 2022 from approximately 11:00 am until 12:15 pm. Policy, procedures and additional documentation was reviewed at the Warsaw office from 12:30 pm until 2:30 pm. There were no children in attendance. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, policies and procedures, physical plant, special care, emergencies and nutrition. Compliance with some standards could not be determined since the center is not yet in operation. The center can accommodate the requested capacity of 40 children. The center will offer care for children 3 years through five years in age. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. The wooden deck ramp used by children to enter and exit the building has one wooden spindle that is cracked creating a jagged and sharp edge that could snag the skin of a child in care.
