Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 12:45 pm - 1:45 pm. There were 26 children in care being supervised by 5 staff. The children were observed participating in quiet activities, preparing for nap, and resting. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of five child records and three staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on review of three staff records it was determined that not all records were complete. Evidence: The records for staff A (start date: 11/21/23) and staff B (start date: 09/25/23) did not have documentation of at least two references on file.

Administration will obtain references for staff A and staff B.

Description:
Based on observation and interviews it was determined that children under the age of ten years of age did not always remain within sight and sound supervision of staff. Evidence: Staff A was observed walking between the infant room and the adjoining room used for diaper changing and feeding infants. While staff A changed an infant there were two children observed sleeping in the adjoining infant room that were not within sight and sound supervision of staff A.
Plan of Correction:
Staff will not leave classrooms out of sight and sound supervision. An additional staff person will be called when staff need to leave the classroom.
