Technical Assistance:
Discussed assistant/college student, who has not worked while away at college and has turned 18. This assistant, will need background clearances completed before restarting work with the children.
Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted 5/6/2024 from 11:15am-12:15pm. There were 6 children(5 totaling 14 points), including the provider's child directly supervised by 2 caregivers. The home, 2 caregiver records, 2 children?s records, pet record, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed playing freely, eating snack and napping. There was an assortment of age appropriate materials for children. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Based on record review, the record for assistants did not contain all required information. Evidence: 1. Caregiver #2's record did not have name address and telephone number of a person to be notified in an emergency; 2. Caregiver #2's record did not have verification of age.

The provider will obtain emergency contact person for caregiver #2.

Based on record review, the provider does not have current certification in CPR certification. Evidence: Caregiver #1's CPR certification expired 2023.

Description:
Based on record review and interview, the provider did not orient the assistant by the end of their first week of assuming job responsibilities. Evidence: 1. There was no documentation of orientation in Caregiver #2's file. 2. The provider stated they were unaware that part time/assistant caregivers required an orientation.

Provider will review orientation information with caregiver, prior to/on next work day.
