Comments:
The monitoring inspection was initiated on February 6, 2024 and concluded on February 7, 2024. There were 6 children present with 2 caregivers supervising and 1 household member present. The inspector completed observations of the children in care napping, and transitioning from napping at the family day home. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, personnel, household members, physical health of caregivers and household members, physical equipment and environment, care of children, prevention of diseases, and emergencies, nutrition, and background checks. A total of 3 children's records and 2 caregiver, and 1 assistant records were reviewed during this inspection. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on review of staff records and interview, the provider did not ensure to obtain a copy of the results of a search of the child abuse and neglect registry or equivalent registry from any state in which the individual has resided in the preceding five years.
Evidence: In Caregiver#1's record, the results of a search of the child abuse and neglect registry for the state of New York was not found. Interview with provider confirmed the results were not available for review during the inspection.
