Comments:
A renewal inspection was conducted August 7, 2023, between 9:45am until 10:45am. There were 16 children present, with 4 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. The children were observed playing with playdough and beginning to gather for a read aloud.. A teacher was observed greeting a child to the classroom with a smile and a greeting. Infants were observed painting. A total of 5 child records and 5 staff records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on record review, the center did not implement a monthly practice evacuation drill.
Evidence: Evacuation drills were not conducted from January 2023 through April 2023.
Plan of Correction:
Previous director did not conduct drills monthly. Since new director drills have been conducted from May 2023 on.
