Subsidy- 8VAC20-790 Subsidy Regulations
Technical Assistance:
1. The trampoline is off limits to the daycare children. 2. The vendor decided that daycare children will not be using the deck.
Comments:
An announced initial Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted on 11/27/2023 from 9:55 am to 11:00 am with the vendor. There were no daycare children present as the vendor has not enrolled any children at this time. A tour of the entire home was conducted with a focus on the basement area which will be the primary daycare area. There were ample supplies, furnishings and equipment for the requested age range, which is 16 months to 4 years of age. The areas of non compliance are outlined on the violation notice.
Based on observation, it was determined that electrical outlets were not covered. Evidence: The Licensing Inspector observed an outlet next to the bathroom sink uncovered and an outlet on the wall in the main daycare space uncovered.
Plan of Correction:
I will make sure all outlets are covered.

Based on observation and interview, it was determined that the caregiver did not have nonmedical emergency supplies. Evidence: There was no working battery-operated radio available.

Based on interview, it was determined that there was no written emergency preparedness plan that addressed caregiver responsibility and home readiness with respect to emergency evacuation, relocation, lockdown and shelter in place procedures.

Description:
Based on observation and interview, it was determined that emergency numbers are no posted in a visible and conspicuous place. Evidence: A 911 or local number for police and emergency services and the number to poison control were not posted in a visible and conspicuous place.
