The following was discussed: Prepare and keep posted your emergency preparedness plan.
Comments:
An initial inspection was conducted on 05/11/2023. The inspector arrived at 9:55 AM and departed at 11:00 AM. No children were present. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration and physical plant. Th entire house and yard were inspected. A total of 4 caregiver/household records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with a requirement and a violation was documented on the violation notice issued. the violation was reviewed with the provider at the exit review.
Based upon observation, the provider has not ensured that the outdoor play area used by children is free of obvious hazards. Evidence: 1. The fencing around the back yard is missing slats which a small child could fit through. 2. There are numerous broken fence slats presenting a cut or splinter hazard. 3. There are several popped nails on the back yard fence that could puncture or snag a child.
Plan of Correction:
The provider responded with the following: New slats will be added to the fencing. Broken slats will be repaired or replaced. All popped nails will be removed. The entire yard will be inspected for potential hazards.
