8VAC20-790 Subsidy Program Vendor Requirements for Family Day Homes
Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 12/20/2023 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Based on record review and staff interview, one caregiver has not completed the Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff within the first 90 days of employment.
Evidence: 1. Caregiver #1 began employment in May 2023. The record for Caregiver #1 did not contain documentation of completion of the Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff. 2. Caregiver #1 reported the training had not been completed.
Plan of Correction:
The training will be completed next week.
