Comments:
The Licensing Inspector conducted an unannounced complaint inspection in response to a complaint that was received by the licensing office on 5/14/2024 relating to care, supervision, and ratios in the infant classroom. Interviews were conducted with staff, classroom observations were made and documents were reviewed.
The information gathered during this investigation does support one of the allegations, so the complaint is determined to be valid. See the Violation Notice for findings.
Please complete the ?plan of correction? and ?date to be corrected? for each violation cited on the violation notice and return it to the department within 5 business days from receipt. Please specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Please do not use staff names; list staff by positions only.
Any plans of correction not received within 5 business days will result in the plans not appearing on the Violation Notice and public website.

Based on interviews, staff failed to always ensure the care, protection and guidance of one child. Evidence: 1. Approximately a few months ago, Staff #1 confirmed that she accidently fed two infants with the same spoon, while feeding them at the same time.
Plan of Correction:
Staff #1 was open and willing to retrain on how to avoid this mistake from happening again: focusing on one infant at a time and also focusing on the task at hand. Retraining on proper sanitation and protocol was given. Both sets of parents were aware of the situation; one set of parents understood that it was an honest mistake. it has already been corrected prior to 5/20/24 inspection/complaint
