Technical Assistance:
Consultation was given on moving the list of emergency numbers and place by the phone as well as model forms and on-line training opportunities for the 16.0 required hours needed each year.
Reviewed the licensure period and moving from a Conditional license to a one year. Extended licenses will be given after the provider has demonstrated exceeding compliance in multiple areas of the standards over time.
Comments:
An unannounced renewal study was conducted following the Conditional licensure period. Two children were in care with one caregiver for four points. Observed a craft project, hand washing and preparation for lunch. The provider participates in the USDA food program and the Inspector was present during part of the renewal inspection. Reviewed two children's records, emergency drills, attendance, physical space, nutrition and handwashing. Lunch to be served today was chicken nuggets, mac and cheese, mixed vegetables and grapes with milk. The home has one large room for children to play/rest and the bathroom. The provider has added a large play ground climbing piece for the backyard. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Please be aware that the plan of correction must be provided within 5 business days of receipt of the inspection notes if you want it displayed on the website. Feel free to contact me if you need any assistance.
