Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 9:20 am-12:15 pm. There were 92 children (infants-5yrs.) directly supervised by 19 staff. The physical plant, staff records, children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, reading books, creating popcorn art, and eating snack. Diapering and hand-washing procedures were also observed and or reviewed There was an ample supply of materials for the children. There was an adequate number of staff with current certification in MAT, CPR and First Aid, as well as DHO training. Staff-to-child ratios were in compliance. Based on observation, areas were not maintained in operable condition.
Evidence: Swinging door into child bathroom was hanging by a loose hinge from the door frame.

Maintenance call to fix the door has been made.

Description:
Based on observation, electrical outlets did not have protective covers as required.
Evidence: 2 outlets were not covered in the Primary 3 classroom.
Plan of Correction:
Replaced during the inspection. Reminded teachers to check in the morning.
