Comments:
A renewal inspection was conducted on February 27, 2024 from 10:24 A.M.-12:45 P.M. There were four children present for a total of 12 points, ranging in ages from three months to two years of age, with one caregiver supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, care of children, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of four child records, one caregiver record, and one household members record were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-750-B
Description: Based on observation, the provider failed to ensure that diaper ointment was inaccessible to children.

Evidence:
When the Licensing Inspector arrived for the inspection there were three tubes of diaper ointment laying on a couch in the room where childcare is provided. The diaper ointment was accessible to the children.

Plan of Correction: The provider immediately moved the diaper ointments to an area that was inaccessible to the children.
