An announced initial inspection was conducted on September 14, 2023, from approximately 9:10 AM to 11:00 AM. There were no children present for this initial inspection. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of two staff records and two board member records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Please complete the plan of correction and the date to be corrected for each violation listed on the violation notice and return it to the department within 5 business days from receipt. Your plan of correction should contain: 1) steps to correct the noncompliance with the standard(s); 2) measures to prevent the noncompliance from occurring again; and 3) person(s) responsible for implementing each step and/or monitoring any preventative measures.

Violations:
Standard #: 8VAC20-780-500-B
Description: Based on observation, the center did not ensure the diapering area contained a leakproof or plastic-lined storage system that is either foot operated or used in such a way that neither the staff member's hand nor the soiled diaper touches an exterior surface of the storage system during disposal.

Evidence:
1. In room #1 there was a diaper changing area. The touchless storage system for dirty diapers was not working at the time of inspection.

Plan of Correction: Not available online. Contact Inspector for more information.
