Comments:
The licensing inspector initiated an unannounced inspection on 03/18/2024 and concluded on 03/18/2024 in response to a complaint received by the department on 03/05/24 for allegations regarding diapering. Interviews, record reviews and policy reviews were conducted relating to the allegations. The information gathered during the investigation support the allegations, so the complaint is valid.

Based on interview, the center failed to change a child's diaper immediately upon becoming wet or soiled.
Evidence:
A parent advised her child frequently had a soiled diaper at pick up. She stated it occurred about two to three times per week. The director stated the parent picked up everyday while the children were outside playing and the staff changed diapers when they came back in each day.
Plan of Correction:
The director has talked to the staff about changing diapers on demand and not waiting until they come in from playing outside.
